In Person

Folklore is in everything we do from how we speak to the stories we tell.

It is the heart of a nation and few nations are as known for their folklore as Ireland. Seamus Heaney frequently drew on folklore in his poetry in both overt and subtle ways. Drawing from a selection of Heaney’s poems, join us at the Seamus Heaney: Listen Now Again exhibition for an exploration, led by folklorist Glynnis Cowley, of folklore through the seasons, examining how Heaney used folklore in his poems and how we experience this in our own lives.
