Filming, Photography and Recording at the NLI
Please submit your request to film, take photographs or record audio at the NLI at least eight weeks in advance of the proposed date by completing the online booking request form below. All filming, photography and audio recording within the NLI must be supervised by a member of the NLI’s staff. Due to demand and resourcing, not all requests can be granted.

Please submit booking request form below at least eight weeks in advance of proposed date. You must provide all insurance details. All filming, photography and audio recording within the NLI must be supervised by a member of staff.
We encourage everyone to carry out their own research in advance of filling in the request form. You can view our online catalogue here: catalogue.nli.ie. Please take note of titles, authors and call numbers. You can list them below in the form.
Depending on availability, NLI will confirm if the project aligns with our values, if the rooms are available and if staff are free to assist.
See our fees in the table below. Please be mindful that when arranging to film/record at the NLI, you are utilising our staff's time in retrieval and assessment of items, as well as with correspondence, preparation and assistance on the day.
Finalise times and send details of driver(s) and car registration number(s) if parking is required. Confirm arrangements with point of contact in NLI.
Please arrive on time to the NLI. Notify your arrival with the member of staff, they will greet you and guide you through the building. In line with the NLI's health and safety policy, staff cannot assist with carrying equipment.
Please be aware that a safety induction is mandatory on arrival to the location.
